Had everything gone as it was planned, as it was envisioned by the great leaders, engineers, and scientists of those times - Then today humanity would not be fight petty wars (or planning false flag operations against each other), nor would the resources of the Earth been consumed/abused beyond repair.

But I guess it wasn't meant to be so... The X-15 experimental aircrafts got damaged beyond salvation, and the last one remaining is just hanging in the Smithsonian Institute. The SR-71 blackbird also got retired (in a shameless way). But what's even worse is that the Concord mach 2+ passenger aircraft (which any civilian could get onto) also is today grounded! I guess it's OK to retire things which become old, but logic suggests that they be replaced with something that's an improvement! But we (globally speaking) somehow seem to be following a very bad trend of regressing back into being mediocre once again... As if people are content to be losers!

Oh well, it was (and still is) fun to watch videos of the Moon landing! Hope this too doesn't become a crime in the future!
