Eileen, Dan took a picture of the moonrise after it was raining the other night and there were still clouds. He says it's overexposed because he doesn't take many night pictures. He will try it again another time if you would like moonrise pictures to go with your sunrise pictures. dooley
OO, can I add one to this thread. This is the moon coming up a couple of weeks ago - daughter number one (who is 7) took it from her bedroom window.
Ahhhh Dooley DR has found the way to my heart. LOL He can take as many piccies of sunrises, sunsets, moonrises, moonsets (is there such a thing?)as he likes and I certainly won't object!!!! I've already pinched it and added it to my collection. Thank you both soooo much.
Such a stark contrast between the two photos, hard to believe that they both show the same entity. E.J tell your daughter that the photo is excellent. Children have a different eye for things.
Much of the orange and red color in our sunrise, sunset and even moonrise scenes are due to dust in the air. It can also come with smoke from wildfires. dr
Those are so pretty and so different. That 7 year old needs to start snapping .Dang she did great. DR yours is like the cover of a Murder Mystery book. Now you better write the book.
Ohhh I love both pics!! Moonrise pics are wonderful!! The moon is such an amazing object to me!! I love to lay in a float in the pool at night and just watch the night sky!! There are sooo many amazing things up there to be seen!! Dooley, Dan did a wonderful job at taking his pic!! EJ what a talented photo snapper your 7 yo is!!
Thanks for all your kind comments. I passed them on to my little munchkin. She has take a lot of pics in her time, and she does take some crackers. Glad you liked it!
