I went back to our farmer friend's place this morning. I have half a bushel of beet greens and quarter bushel of beets. It's good that I like the beets and dr likes the greens. He also had yellow summer squash and I got half a grocery bag of those. Next week he'll call and I can go pick green beans. I can't use all those beets so he's going to put a sign out by the road for pick your own beets. dooley
Well Dooley, you sure can't "beet" the price of your greens! (Sorry, it's been a long day and I just don't have the strength to not pun). I can hardly wait for our squash to start coming on. I dearly love grilled squash, so I envy you having summer squash already.
