Beautiful blooms, kitty and bird. I have been looking at orchids for a couple of years but not sure I really want something else I have to baby to keep alive. But yours are gorgeous. What type of broad bean is that in #4, the blooms are wonderful, I could grow those in the flower garden out front.
I love the black and white flowers on your broad beans too and, like Toni, would grow them just for the flowers alone. You have a great selection of plants there Lukey and they all appear to be in the rudest of health. Well done.
thanks guys :-D i'll put the healthy looking plants down to beginners luck. and as for the broad beans, i'll try and get hold of the variety for you. i harvested the seeds when working on a farm last year so they just got thrown into an envelope but my last boss will know what they are
Luke, were the beans a dark purple when mature and dry? I think I found the name of them...Grando Violetto Fava Bean it has a black and white flower that looks an awful lot like the one in your photo.
the seeds are green and brown, one of them does have a reddish tint on the edge though. my beans are covered in black fly aphids at the moment so im looking into a solution for those?? any ideas?? :-D
