More of the Asiatic Lilies are opening, these babies are putting on quite a show. I had put them in a pot out back just to get them in dirt...another one of those purchases made without a clue as to where their permanent home would be As it turns out they are loving where they are, morning sun but shade in the hot part of the day. More Lilies ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) This one is so dark a red that it appears to be mostly black. It came up in a part of the garden several feet away from where all the other lilies have been for a couple of years. I think a squirrel dug it up and replanted it for me last fall. Redish/black lily ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) Second fence panel is in place. Behind it is where our large trash and recycle barrels are stored, now they can't be seen as easily. Congratulations on your second panel. Your lilies are a delight. Do you know the name of that dark red one? I've got one called "Landini" that looks a lot like it.
Well, I'll declare--those fence panels really do make your garden plots look quite spiffy. You've made a good move there.
I like that red/black lily. I am not sure I like the yellow one though. Where did you find those flowers though?
Lovely - what a great way to hide the trash and recycling barrels. They can sometimes detract from the real beauty of a garden. I love those lilies - the yellow one is lovely and bright and really brightened up my dreary morning.
I remember you were thinking about color and I just wanted to comment that the plant shape, color and texture really pops against the light color that the fence panel is now. :-D That is a really pretty bed, Toni. Must be very cheerful greeting when you pull up in the drive.
