Checked the rain gage when I got home from town. Another 1/2 inch since Sat morning. That's a total of 3 inches since this wet period started. And it's raing right now. The local weatherman is saying we will come out of this wet period on Thurs. or Fri. I sure hope so. I am going to have to mow my grass twice just to get it back down to where it is supposed to be. It's about 7 inches high right now.

I know what you mean about being tired of this rain. I'm right below you in Kentucky. We've got standing water in a lot of places it shouldn't be.

I don't think the saturated ground can take too much more. I think this is close to an historic record for rainfall in April for Kentucky.

Yeah, it's like Texas. The west is burning up and the east is getting blown away by tornados.

Just look at all that lovely looking wet stuff!
Okay... I know too much of anything isn't good and that your gardens, fields, roads, etc. could really use a break from the rain you've been getting... BUT...
it sure looks to me right now.
Wishing you all sunny days to come... and soon!

Well with all this rain I might as well use it to my advantage. I will plant grass.

We had some rain last night. There were tornado watches which just meant conditions were right for one forming. Nothing like it though we did have some pretty fierce winds for awhile. We'll still take any that someone wants to send this way.

This is what we were doing yesterday. Plugging in a submersible pump to drain water out from under the house. If anyone wants to supply a hose long enough, we'll gladly pump water out from under our house to your gardens. We actually purchased a new 1/2 horsepower pump yesterday too. The 1/4 horsepower pump we have only pumps out at a slow trickle.

We had another 1/2 inch of rain Mon and Mon night. That's a total of 3 1/2 inches in my rain gage since the 16th of April.

I see that parts of Ohio have tornado warnings, are they in your area Captain?
