    The Red Headed Woodpecker was back this morning. He has found the feeder with the sunflower seeds in it. Here he is scooting down the tree to check it out.

    And he has found one of the peanut feeding stations too. He was succesful in getting a peanit out of it's shell.

    There are a pair of them, but both the male and female look alike. So hope fully they have found a nest and will raise some young. I saw them both together about a week ago, but have only seen single birds since. So I hope one of them is setting on eggs!

    Cool!!! I saw one fly through the yard a few years ago and that is it. So glad you have one to observe. Thanks for the picture.
