Well this morning is still nice, the storms aren"t supposed to come in untill 6 pm or so. So I got all of my tomato cages out and started cageing Asiatic Lillys. They gro about 6 ft tall and without support they fall over onto the ground. So the easiest way to control them is to cage them. I like to put the cages out when they are small, that way I can direct them into the cages as they grow. While I was out with my camera, I got some picks of the wild Blood Root. Tuesday I looked and there wasn't a sign of it. Thurs I looked while I was mowing and there it was!
I have Bloodroot from my grandmother's garden It looks to be a few days behind yours as the leaves have not opened. Only the flowers have opened up. I like the leaf shape. Some people I know are very allergic to the plant sap. Chilly today, the temperature has not gone above 47°F. Jerry
Tomato cages are useful for many things Capt! I like the Bloodroot - I've never seen it growing wild around here and it is supposed to be native I think.
