I went out to work in my plants and found these fine fellows. We saw some "skeletons" last year but never found them fresh. This one looks like it's been out in a stiff breeze.
I have several friends that beg me to bring them morels, as well as puffballs. I've never tried them, but hear they are very good.
Morels are highly prized mushrooms and chefs would give their eye teeth to have fresh instead of dried over here. Needless to say they are also very expensive!!!
I love mushrooms i have lots of pics in my barn like kitchen i found on inter net ,printed and framed. may i print yours?
Melissa, of course you can. I would never dream of eating these-they are much too scenic to lose that quickly. 8)

Oyster also are grown so different on what we call Oyster logs.I do love the Whites and Portabellas and the grey Oysters. This is where I have worked for almost 8 yrs.
