Well, I went and had the other test and waited 10 days and finally called the doctor. The office girl called the next day and said the doctor wanted to talk to me and they were just trying to find a time to fit me in the schedule and had a cancellation for the next morning. Could I come? So I went to the doctor Wednesday morning. Not so good news. My thyroid that I thought I had removed 27 yrs ago has grown back. The doctor that did the surgery left a piece because he said it would make the replacement hormone work better. I guess it made it work too well. One option I do not have is to do nothing because as well as the thyroid growing back, the tumors (nodules) also grew back and they will keep growing and would eventually interfere with my breathing and swallowing. So, I will have to do something. A decision on just what has not been made yet. I will talk to Andy about it tomorrow and get his opinion. It could be surgery or another radio active treatment to kill the tissue. Either way it's no big deal and I'll have to go back on the replacement hormone. The doctor said the tumors (nodules) are most likely benign as the others were but I will have a biopsy to make sure. So, it wasn't entirely a good week at our house. Dooley

Do you really think it is no big deal?
Good for you. I guess if you've been down this road before you can say that.
Best wishes for future health, Dooley. Your a tough lady and I admire that.

Sorry about the news. Do your best to keep smiling...it does your heart good, and from the sound of it yours is strong enough for the fight. I'll be thinking of you!

Gee, Dooley, I think anytime you need surgery it is a big deal, but you are looking at it with a good attitude and that is what makes things different. If I can do anything to help let me know. Wannabe

Don't know about "no big deal", but I do hope you are right. I read somewhere that they've decided that hormone replacement therapy isn't quite the bad guy they thought it was, so that's a scrap of good news.

I hate to hear this but am glad you are taking it in stride. People with a positive outlook live WAY longer than those negative thinkers.
