    woooohooooo

I have made my first ever batch of jam! I bought 700g of frozen morrello cherries for £2 at Asda and got some cherry Brandy and jam sugar and set to I layered the cherries with 500 g of sugar and left it over night I put it in a pan with the juice that had come off the cherries while they defrosted and the juice of a small lemon and boiled for about 20 mins I added a good glug of cherry brandy and mixed well then turned off the heat and wow I have jam! I put it onto one big clip lid jar and one screw lid jar and naughty me I scraped out the pan with a crust of bread  I couldnt resist! it was lovely just like the oneI had found at Lakeland I loved so much, but cant get to the store the nearest is about 100 miles away

Congratulations! It is so satisfying when you are able to make something you love. I am sure it is delicious. Now I want to make some jam- see what you started? If I lived there, I would make some homemade bread and try to talk you into parting with a little of your jam.
