I guess most people having the opportunity to take some photos of famous people one should include them in their favorite images. Well, I had the opportunity to take some of the Queen. No, this image has not been cropped, she was so close, about 3 feet, I could not get everything in the frame.

A picture is great but to be so close is fantastic. A moment of excitement not all can have, what was the occasion?

The queen visited our local farm/heritage centre when it first opened. We got within a few feet of her too but my daughter wasn't too impressed. She asked where the queen was and when I pointed her out her comment was 'but mum she's just an old lady.' :D Laura was only about five at the time and must have thought she'd be wearing a crown and all dressed up in flowing robes.

Eileen--Pretty funny. Reminds me of the time that our family visited ancient Indian ruins in the southwest. When it came time to leave, our 4 year old began running around, wanting to climb ladders, look in crevases, stare strange men up and down. It took us a while to figure out he was looking for the Indians.

Kildale--That is a great shot of the Queen. She looks cute!

That is a great photo! Queen Elizabeth is an admirable lady. She has gone through so much with such grace. One of the few public figures we can still admire.
