Hello, Here is another moth photographied last July at the "Old Man in the Mountain", New Hampshire... Is it possible to identify the family/genus/species? Could it be a gemetridae? Thank you very much for your help... Michel
I believe this a bicolored angle moth.(semiothisa bicolorata.) Yes, it's family is geometridae. It's larvae feed on pines.
Hello Bettie and Glennann and thank you for your help and appreciation... This identification is a real tough one!!! This moth looks also very much like Macaria (Semiothisa)aemulataria and Macaria (Semipthisa ulsterata).. It will then be safer to conclude with Mararia (Semiothisa) sp... Cheers! Michel
