And this time it is the GOOD stuff. I was sitting here a few minutes ago listening to good sized sleet hitting the window, it suddenly got totally quiet and I figured that was the end of the good stuff.
Went to the door and found even gooder stuff falling from the sky. It's really tiny flakes but coming down really hard, only took about 10 minutes to get this much coverage.

It was supposed to snow here today too Toni. However, after a brief spell of sunshine we've had nothing but rain, rain and more rain. We haven't had much snow at all this winter but could do with building an ark with the rainfall we've had.

Toni, we had rain, which froze. Now we have a thin coating of ice on the patio and ground. Going out to tuck the chickens in tonight will be a "skating" experience!

We've been having light rain all day. It's supposed to turn to freezing rain/snow this evening and be 21 overnight with wind chills down to 10-15 degrees. This is Texas?

Yep, cause you can have all four seasons in one 24 hour time span. Yesterday up here it was chilly like early Spring, by 3 p.m. we had summer like temps in the mid-80's, by around 6 p.m. it felt like a fall chill and by midnight winter was back.

We are having heavy sleet and freezing rain off and on now. Randy took our youngest to work this morning so she wouldn't have to drive home in this tonight. We really didn't expect it to be like this though.

It's headed down this way right now. Temps were near 80F and some sunshine. But now the temps are dropping and looks like the rain isn't far off. Got the plants tucked away... again... since we're expected freezing temps over the next few days. *SIGH*

The good stuff falling from the sky has come to an end for us, it is all training up towards Arkansas, east Texas is still getting a lot....a lot more than we got...again.

Temp now is 21 with a wind chill of 7. Should be about 3-5 degrees colder overnight.

You would not have wanted to be here the weekend of March 4-5, 1989 for 6 inches of snow or March 28-29, 1987 when we had 3 inches.

Supposed to be in the 70's up here by Friday so you should be basking in warmth down there.;)

Our snow/rain storm, touted for days by the weather people fizzled into the ether.
O.K. with me. But we are still hunting for spring.

Storm to hit here around 9am this morning. Not sounding good at all. Sure glad hubby is home and we have a generator. If I lost everything in the greenhouse I would be ill.

What you have in your yard is far, far more than what we have yet had here thus far.

Truth be told, I don't even want any snow now.

But doesn't the precipitation make your garden look interesting!

I know how much you like the snow Toni, so I am happy for you. But after the winter we have had here in southern Ontario this year, I find it very hard to get excited about snow. We got another 5cm over the weekend. :(
