Thanks for any information you can give me on this flowering plant. I got this plant at a plant trade and have enjoyed its little prolific flowers. It even has a few left-over flowers on it right now (after ice and snow storm). It never really went dormant so I am wondering what others have done to prune, etc to keep this perennial in shape. I need to know and just how big can I expect this "dwarf" to get? Do I need to move or divide it now to keep it looking as good as it has the last two years. Is it sensative to moving?

I looked it up and the plant is Knautia macedonica (Knautia, Crimson Scabious). Thanks again for any information.

I have no advice, just wanted to say that I really like the photo of the bee and bloom! Hope someone will come along with answers for you.

I usually just cut back the browned foliage and let it be. I've never had to divide or move mine so I can't offer any advice there. Yours sure looks happy there!

When I had sandy soil at the last house my blue ones took over the one flower bed so I never planted it again here.

Yours is a beautiful color but with what happened to me before I will be worried a bout ever putting it in the beds here....

Sherry, with the way they responded the first year I can see how they could become a problem. I will definitely keep on eye on it this year and see how it does over time.
