We have achieved mud! It rained last night--water falling out of the sky, a beautiful sight. When I went out to check the chicks this morning, I got mud on my shoes. I think I'll frame it.
This is the first rain we have had in almost two months. Can you tell we are thrilled?

How I wish I could send you some of our rain. I actually get fed up seeing it pouring down here.

Yea You!!! We got rain last night too, Monday was our first rain in over a month. Hope it doesn't wait that long again but we are going into the normally dry time of the year anyway so we can only hope.

We got almost an half inch yesterday!
This morning, I left the house before the rains came, but it rained pretty heavily during my entire 40 mile commute to work.
Talk about a beautiful site! Water, water and more water! I'd guess it was probably between 1/2 to 1 inch.
It's still pretty dark and cloudy here at the office, but the rain stopped about an hour ago. There's still a slight chance (20%) for more rain this afternoon. Wouldnt' that be nice... an entire day of rain?!
Sure hope it rained at the house!

40 MILES? I hope that is all highway driving. Glad you all got rain, I hope you get much more.

We got 1.5" of rain, and all my containers are full--three 250 gal. and three 55 gal. containers of beautiful rainwater!
I feel for those who are developing webbed feet from all their rain. We lived in upstate NY and I know what it is to have too much.
Toni, hope there is more on the way for you, and Cheryl, I hope you go home to a damp yard and happy flowers!

Most of it is open highway... just have to go through a couple of small towns (around 6 or so traffic lights). The last 8 miles or so is the worst... have to go right thru this town called Atascocita... nothing but traffic. UGH!

Jane... so happy that it was enough rain to fill all those barrels! Wonder how much got collected in my barrel? Makes me want to leave work early just to check! :D

I guess in your case mud is good, enjoy the mud. I will refrain from telling my mud story. Three cheers for the rain, hope you get more soon.

Oh, Jerry, mud is VERY good right now. Texans would trade all the dusty yards we have for this mud in a heart beat.
I have black clay so this means I can't garden for a couple of days so I am going plant shopping in a few minutes
