recently I had to transplant my umbrella tree (Schefflera arboricola), i used a bag of miracle grow potting soil and its been doing nice for about 2 weeks now but today i noticed a few small mushrooms emerging from the soil, well what i believe to be mushrooms... they are very small and light brownish.. are these okay or should i remove them? any advice would be much appreciated.

I'd remove them so that they don't get a chance to spread their spores around. I doubt they'll do any actual harm to your plant though. This can happen quite often with potting soils and compost mixes unless they are properly sterilized.

I'd remove it too. My first thought was the soil is too wet? I've never had any pop up indoors before.

I'd remove it, if not just for aesthetic reasons.

Yes, remove them. The mushroom compost is heated to app 360 degrees for 24 hrs.before dumping but sometimes some
of the spores are not effected. Its very interesting to see and know how mushrooms grow and how the compost is handled.I worked at one for almost 10 years. The compost is the best I ever planted in.
