I was out cleanig up in the yard after the wind and rain last night. I found this blown up next to the house. This is off of the big Burr Oak in the back yard. I have used a 12 inch ruler to help size it.
How big is the Burr Oak tree? There is one in a park in Plano that is 75 feet tall, the trunk is 60" in diameter and is 250 years old. I don't know how large it's leaves are but the acorns are almost the size of a ping-pong ball.
