Hello Suzie, I enjoyed seeing your Christmas video again this year. I always look forward to seeing them. You have the most remarkable display there. How much time does it take to prepare and set-up? It looks like a big job to me. At any rate the result is so tremendously beautiful. Well done.
Susie you never disappoint!! I love the giant snowflake and the icicles and all the other new additions. Christmas just isn't Christmas without your video.
After my bride stopped ooooing and ahhhhing, she asked where you stored all those goodies during the rest of the year?
Beautiful...we gave up most of our larger decorations because we didn't have room to store them seeing we downsized. We only kept a few things to put on our small front porch. Yours looks so beautiful and I bet it brings a smile to your face every time you look at it lit up.
Thank you all, to answer a few questions, we somehow have managed to store it all away, we have storage above the 2 car gar. under the roof/attic, and in big totes on a wall in the gar. covered with roll down shades. Inside decorations go in a big walk in closet with a vaulted ceiling. With this years additions we are not so sure? LOL We have to start early actually in Oct. by Halloween all the inside is done, then it takes the month of Nov. to get the outside done our 1st. lighting is always Dec. 1st. and then it is lit each night for exactly one month. We get 35/40 cars each night to see it and we love bringing joy to others in this way. There are 5 homes now lit all around our cul de sac and it is quite a sight to see. We are two old folks and will do this as long as we are able hubby will be 80 soon and we do it all ourselves, plus he's helping our neighbors with theirs, our gar. is like Santa's workshop, if something isn't lighting they all know who can fix it. This is simply what we love to do!
You reap the rewards of all the work done when you get 35/40 cars each night to view your display,..makes it all worthwhile when you see the joy,..i can just try to imagine how your cul de sac looks with all the other houses being lit up with displays,..well done all
