I have never seen a Bald Eagle in the wild much less in my back yard. I can see why you get excited. I take it this is not the first time they have chosen to rest in your trees?

    Hi Jerry,
This was the second time I was able to get pictures this year. We have a pair
of eagles that fly over and we saw them with two young ones this summer. We see them alot so they have to be nested very close. I think the first pics I got are in my blog. They are much clearer.

Oh my, you certainly have interesting visitors in your yard! We have seen eagles on the wing here, but they never come visit.

Way cool Donna. great job at catching it while it was there.
My DH says there is one nesting not far from us, but I have never gone to see it. Shame on me. He did see it though, it has become quite the destination around here, evidently.

I've seen Bald Eagles a few times, but not in my own yard.... and not close enough to even attempt to get a photo.
    Great job!

oooh I wish a Bald Eagle would visit my garden!

I was lucky enough to not only see a nest once, but there were even babies in it! You could see em poking their little heads out ^_^ This was in the middle of a river outside Ross Camp which is outside Lafayette (did I spell that right?), IN :)

We have Bald Eagles that winter in the area along the Illinois River. I have pictures but from far away. None that close.

Hi Donna, I've seen an eagle in the wild and it was in your neighboring state of Maryland...I live in New Jersey...we were camping at Elk Neck State Park which is along the Chesapeake. Do you live near the Chesapeake in Virginia?
