This is Cosmo, my five year old black Labrador. He was bought from a lady when he was a pup, not really a rescue as such, but his surroundings were horrible and the puppies were all left shut in a room, in a crate only being taken out to pee. If I could have had the lot, I would have. All she would tell us was that dad was a chocolate working lab with long legs from a farm and mum, who we saw, was a short, stocky black show lab. It could have been a disaster, but my boy is an absolute darling. He is tall, shiny, handsome and the gentlest of all he pick he runs with, which isn't always great for him as he can get ganged up on and picked on because he doesn't retaliate. He doesn't bark, ever, he is a piggy, typical lab, and is my constant companion. I wish I hadn't waited so long to get a dog, but if we had, then we wouldn't have had Cosmo.

Labradors are a real favourite of mine. They are fun loving, gentle, handsome and loyal. I have a feeling that Cosmo loves the beach and tennis balls - now I wonder where I get that idea from?? :headscratch: :D

That doggie is handsome to be sure. His backstory is interesting.
It sounds like exactly the right pal for you and family.
Dogs can be such a pleasure to have.
