I went to the mountains of Georgia during my Christmas break for a day and these are a few of the pictures I took.

These next pictures are in Hiawassee, Georgia. They are of Christmas lights. These people started with one decoration over 20 years ago and kept adding to it little by little every year. It has since grown into what you see here.

I love the waterfall and the stream, would love to have a small cottage close by.

The outdoor decorations are wild, glad I don't have their electricity bill!

It looks as though you had a great time while you were away. I, too, love the waterfall and the stream. Those Christmas decorations must cost a fortune each year to run but they are spectacular.

Love your stream too. :D I'm sort of happy those decorations aren't in our neighbour's yard.

I like the pretty lights at Christmas time, but some tend to "over-do" it. The neighbors down the street have lights and decorations all over their front yard, everything from Santa and his reindeer, to snowmen; lights on all the trees and house, to a large nativity scene in the driveway! A bit much- and now that it is late January, I think they should turn them off, but they usually re-decorate for the next holiday... so I guess it will be Valentine's Day, and then St. Patrick's, and then Easter. Really, I'm not kidding. Crazy!
Anyway, I did enjoy your photos of the waterfall!

I have been there, but not in winter. A very pretty place, even in the summertime. I have friends that live in Hawkinsville Georgia. It's a smll town about 30 miles south of Warner Robbins. We were down there last May and also at the Georgia Veterens Parl at Lake Blackshire. Nice country.

Yea, I love the Georgia mountains. They are just so beautiful all the time, no matter what time of the year. There are also strewn with a plethora of beautiful waterfalls up there. Those Christmas lights are divided between two houses, but I still think that the electric bill would be insane.

Love the waterfalls. The Christmas lights on the other hand are way too over done. Too busy to really see any of it. I would hate to be the one to put them out, then take them down. And I am sure the electric company really loves them!! :D

Bet you loved that day of hiking the best, Jon. I love waterfalls. I don't know that I've ever been in that area but it looks really nice. Thanks for showing us. The Christmas lights are hilarious. Real interesting juxtaposition of "winter decor" too. good job!
