Now that is an embarrassment of riches! You'll get it all cleaned up and into the compost pile, and be so proud of yourselves!

Cheryl--The 'Earth Machine' is a glorified compost bin. I just got it from our local vegie gardening group. I'm going to primarily use it for kitchen scraps. That's the plan anyway. Did you see the photo of the compost pile? 2/3rds of that is kitchen scraps from this fall & winter.... I don't think my bin will be near big enough for kitchen scraps, let alone all the debris in the garden right now.

MG--Yes, an embarrassment of riches indeed! Nothing like a big ole pile of compost, huh? Black gold.

We have three bins like your one. One for fresh scraps, one 'brewing' nicely and the last one full of compost and ready to use. Even with three I feel that we could do with a couple more.

Eileen--Yup. I think my bin will be multiplying in time. It is amazing how much our kitchen generates.

I am encouraged Cayuga. It is work, but just look at all that good stuff! Compost is just a rake away.

I have 2 Earth Machines that I use only for kitchen scraps. They work well, but I think I need another one.

Your plants will appreciate all the hard work. I can hear them now…."compost…..compost….nutritious compost" :) Lucky plants.
