I've been seeing and hearing these two noisy birds and I was suspecting they have a nest in the mango tree at the back of our house. Every afternoon I see them stay in the star apple tree and one afternoon I saw one of them picking a fight with our neighbors cat flying over the cat while making so much noise. Irritated the cat also tried to catch this bird. I thought it's so funny and so I've been stalking on them since then trying to take pictures. LOL ( photo / image / picture from blackrose's Garden ) Yesterday I heard them again and I took my cam and started taking pics of them from inside our lot. This one he was making so much noise and was trying to make me go away flying over the fence stopping over it and flying back to the mango tree branch. Then I heard and saw this little bird trying to go up the mango tree. So I went out and picked it up and put back up in the mango tree. The parents flew away but later on they came back. It climb up the moringa tree and flew to the small tamarind tree where I tried to put him back. I'm scared our neighbors cat will eat him so that day I was like watching for it the whole day. Sorry to Mama and Papa bird I can't resist taking pics before letting it go. LOL
Shucks, the little guy was almost begging for you to make him internet-famous. Glad you did you part to help him realise his dream
Big Awwww-factor there! I'm so glad you helped the poor thing out. I've also got a soft spot for helpless little featherballs and would probably have been watching it too.
Awwww isn't he cute!! He certainly doesn't seem to mind getting a helping hand from you. Let's hope he fledges and that the cat doesn't find him.
I sure hope he fledges too... those babies cause me way too much stress... when they're in my yard, I can hardly stand the worry about them. AND, he is just adorable, and you're a good guy for helping him out and giving him a better chance. Maybe you should watch the cat?
Awww!!!He's so adorable omg. If he had cheeks I'd want to pinch them. Good for you for helping a lending hand and being caring!!! My husband always thinks I'm a freak for stuff like that.
What an interesting looking little bird. It looks sort of like an immature Kookaburra to me. I saw several species of Kookaburra when I visited Australia a few years ago and this little guy certainaly makes me think of them. Great fotos, Blackrose.
Hello Netty, yes he did lol.. Thank you Frank because of you I was encouraged to post about him. Hi, Droopy, Gfreiheer, Eileen and Glendann, he certainly is a cutie that's why I can't resist watching over him and make sure nothing happens to this little guy. To dear Daisybeans, I think he's alright now the day after i posted this, early in the morning we saw him on top of the moringa tree and if i had my camera I could have recorded how one of his parent flew over to my neigbors potted palm plant and picked out a worm and fed him. It's a lovely sight really. Hi IndigoAsh, my husband says the same haha..he knew that if i'm not in the kitchen I was at the back watching for birds. Thanks Sjoerd, I wish I know what kind of bird it is. Just like what Daisybeans said, It's nice to be in the company of caring people... Thank you all
