OK fellow Stewies, be on your best behavior, dust off your goin' to meeting clothes, and put out the welcome mat. Paige, my sweet daughter who, with her husband William, has thoroughly gotten into the whole gardening endeavor, asked for the link to here. She's looking for a community that will provide the knowledge and information she's looking for as she and William continue on their journey to grow vegetables and plant trees on the grounds of their new home. I've been talking about you all and the Stew long before I moved in with them, and so this is the logical place for her to come to. She's busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger with her two little ones and the house and the cats and dogs (Charlie the great dane particularly keeps her on her toes!) but she'll be by sometime in the next few days. I'm excited to be sharing you all with her!
Ronni---I am so glad your daughter will join us! I don't think we have any other parent/grown child members. I will look forward to meeting & greeting her.
My oldest daughter joined a few years ago, lost her password, then got busy with two boys, two jobs and then moving to an apartment so she hasn't been around. Ronni, now what can we do to make her thnk we are a fun bunch ....fake glasses with mustaches are so passe' .
Donna S: Initially I thought your comment was pretty funny until I thought of what secrets my daughter could tell about me!
That is a scary thought, having my daughter join a while back had me second guessing my ability to think things through.
Haha I'm quite certain my daughter won't be looking to join ... at least until she owns her own house. Then anything is possible! Can't wait to meet your daughter Ronni
I'm looking forward to meeting Paige but I don't know if I can handle being on 'best behavior' and I don't like getting dressed up. I sure hope that's okay. I will gladly roll out the welcome mat though.
I hope Paige doesn't mind broken and dirty fingernails. This time of year I can't say that I'm a pretty sight but I promise to wash my hands when I shake Paige's.
Well, again you have pointed Paige in the right direction! We'll do our best Ronni, but Paige mustn't expect a calm, thoughtful discussion of horticulture. We are more of the enthusiastic, give-it-a-whirl type of gardeners! If Paige is like you, she will fit in just fine.
Hello Paige! I'm waving from the UK I'd be interested to know if your dog 'helps' with your gardening?
