All Saints' Day is my daughter's birthday. She turned 5 yesterday. It started off with me making her breakfast - supposed to have been in bed, but she got up while I was cooking. After school she returned home to find this bouquet of balloons with a big mylar "5" and a bag of presents. One of her favorites was this "blue diamond ring". (She took it to dance class & showed it off, contrasting it with a white, rubber ring, which she told the other girls was "fake"! I got a kick out of this! This blue one is "real", or course, because it sparkles!) [/img] I then took her to dance class & afterward, to eat at Red Lobster (she loves looking at the lobsters in the tank). She was goofing off & I told her, to be careful not to poke her eye on the straw in her lemonade, so she played like she was fixing to poke her eye on it! The waiter gave her a sundae for dessert and he got a lobster out of the tank for her to pet! [/img] [/img] Red Lobster is right next to her dance class, so we often get supper there "to go" and eat it on the drive back to our small town. The waiter/bar tender is always very sweet to her and he even bought our dinner! I gotta get him a gift card! I apologize for putting so many pictures in here, but I'm one of those daddies, who is just so proud he could bust![/img]
A truly beautiful birthday girl! No wonder you're proud, I completely understand. Love the fourth picture. She looks like she's up to mischief.
She seems to have really enjoyed her special day to the full WT. Doesn't time fly though? Our children grow up so fast. Thanks for sharing her birthday with us all.
Looks like you an your daughter had a great time together, an Red Lobster is soooooo good, i miss it. I hope she had the birthday of her life so far, so happy birthday belated to the birthday girl.
What great pictures! Looks like she had a wonderful 5th birthday! She's lucky to have a father that loves her so much.
What a great day! It's so good to enjoy every minute of it. Before you blink an eye the diamonds will be REAL. 8)
Wishing your little princess a very Happy Belated Birthday! It looks like she ( and you) had a great day - tons o' fun AND a large, sparkly "rock" to boot - what else could a gal ask for??
party We just got back from her official birthday party. We rented a place called "Jumpin N Jungle". It's a big barn full of inflatable devices, on which the kids jump & slide & crawl through tunnels and climb up walls. She and her friends had a blast and the parents did too! She is exhausted and we just put her down for a nap - something we almost never do at home any more. She naps at school - it's mandatory - but we quit bothering at home, because it just made it harder to get her to sleep at night. But on days, where she's been more active than usual, like today, we go ahead & let her sleep a little. Tonight, we're having just family over for supper. Tomorrow, we're planning on going out to the family's cotton farm to take pictures of our little cotton heiress in her cotton. I'll try to get shots of the cotton strippers & module-builders to show y'all, in case y'all are unfamiliar with cotton harvesting. It's pretty cool. And I know I've said it before, but the love I feel for my daughter is the most powerful, overwhelming thing I've ever experienced.
birthday Here's the birthday princess wearing her special glasses & holding her balloons. Her cousin, my nephew (10months old) got to pose with our pumpkins. [/img] Her great aunt & great uncle from North Carolina gave her this tiara, or head-piece, which they bought in Russia a few months ago. She wore it for the rest of the evening. [/img]
