Hi Glenda, yes I received that and I instantly thought it of you but of course I wasn't sure if it was you. Seems like this is a new variant of spam, a more personal type. I hope none of your contacts were tricked into handing over some of their hard-earned cash!

    Thanks for the warning.

I recieved an e-mail from Windows day before yesterday. I read it showed it to Heather .She said thats some sort of spam.It was wanting my user name password and such but I didn't send it just deleted but just opening it got into my e-mail address book anyway.I don't think anyone sent any money none I talked to did.
I had to go in and reset my password after MSN helped me get on line.It took 2 hours to get that all situated to get in to see who all was getting the e-mails.

Ooo, that is a nasty one. I agree with Frank, hope everyone ignored the plea and weren't conned out of their money. And poor you, what a darn worry!

I detest these money grabbing spammers. :-x Thankfully my e.mail filter puts them all into my trash file and deletes them for me. Very few get through and, if/when they do I get rid of them immediately without opening them. So glad you've re-set your password Glenda and I hope everyone ignores that horrible e.mail.

I heard a news story about the Traveler Scam emails a couple of weeks ago. Glad you were able to get your password changed.

I like using Thunderbird for email, things like that can't find the address book on it like they can on others.

Glenda ...I opened it because it said it was from you...does opening it cause any problems? I haven't noticed anything yet because I just opened it last night. After I read it I remembered hearing something on TV not long ago where someone did send a friend (not really the friend, the hacker) some money...it was like 500 dollars and no way to get it back.

    Thank you for the warning..

I highly doubt it Sherry, it is just a plain text email and that can never do any damage. If there was an attachment with it and one opened it then damage could be caused.
