I'm sitting here at the computer and my eyes won't stay open. Guess I need a nap or an early night.
Our middle son, Dan and his wife Laurel came on Friday afternoon and left about 1 pm today. We talked and talked and ate and talked some more. He helped us move here in Dec. 2008 and this is the first time we've seen them since then. They live in Arizona. They were flying on to Virginia to see her father when they left here. They were driving down to Austin to catch the plane at 5 am. tomorrow morning. We sat outside a lot of the time. The weather was beautiful. Now, we will have a couple days of rain. I'm glad it held off for their visit. Dan has a great camera and he took lots and lots of pictures of our cardinals and blue jays and even some vultures.
He loves bird pictures. He's going to make a calendar for family and friends for next year. He brought us one he did for this year of pictures of animals he took and had made into calendars.
But, lots of talking and staying up late and getting up early to make the most of the time has left me with eyes that don't want to stay open. Since it's only 5:30 pm I don't think that I can take a nap or go to bed yet. I should go to the kitchen and find some toothpicks and prop my eyes open, I guess. You all have a good evening.

Dooley it must have been wonderful for you and DR to see Dan and Laurel again. It's a wonder you're not hoarse with all that chatting. ;) Neither wonder your eyes want to close. :setc_090:
I'm so glad the weather stayed good for you all - it makes such a difference doesn't it being able to sit outdoors and enjoy good company?
If you can stay awake until bedtime I have a feeling your going to sleep really soundly tonight.

What a wonderful visit with your son and daughter-in-law. You all had so much to catch up on!
Get a good night's rest, and who says you can't nap at 5:30 p.m.? Do what you want!

Dooley, I am glad you got to visit with your son after so long of not seeing him. I live 5 miles from my mom and dad and can't imagine not being able to see her for that long.
