Im about to make these, and figured Id share with you guys :D
These cookies are awsome! Sea salt is preferred for this recipe, but if you dont have any, table salt will do :) Also, unsalted butter is best, you dont want too much salt flavor! I didnt come up with this recipe, and unfortunately I cant remember the website I got it from and Ill be darned if I cant find it again! Silly me didnt think to bookmark it...

    2 sticks unsalted butter
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1 1/2 cups brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoons sea salt OR 1/2 teaspoon table salt
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 bags chocolate chips (you can use less if you want)

    Preheat oven to 350ºF

Cream together butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar on high speed for 3 minutes

Add eggs and vanilla, beat for 2 minutes

Add remaining ingredients until fully mixed

    Fold in chocolate chips

Drop cookies on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper

Bake 12-14 mins and let cool

I make the worst chocolate chip cookies in the world, but this recipe just might be a huge improvement! It sounds great--I'll get chocolate chips when I go to the grocery this week.
If it works out, I may be the star of the next ice cream social at our church :-D .

Have you ever tried the recipe that calls for a box of instant vanilla pudding?? A friend of mine told me about it, haven't tried it yet but if this craving gets any worse I'm going to have to run to the market for supplies!!!

Great recipe Jen. The only problem with it is that the cookies take less time to eat than to make.

In a pinch and for a quick cookie, try 1 box yellow cake mix, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup oil, 1/4 cup peanut butter and add as many chocolate chips as you want. Usually about 3/4 C. for mine. Refrigerate if needed 10 min. or longer. Its a fairly stiff dough. I make about a 1 in. ball then press out with my hand. Bake 12 min. for a soft cookie. Hubby loves these and they are easy. Can also do chocolate with white chocolate chips or peanut butter chips.
