Last mother's Day, Shuanm and I took the kids for a nature walk in the many acres of land that we own..we found several Trilliums in white, but last week we went looking for leeks, (to pickle) and we found several of these purple Trilliums, we dug them up so I could transplant them into my garden, I ended up putting them in a pot for now until the weather decides to cooperate with us, here are a few pictures...

You lucky so-and-so, and from the woods too! They're lovely. Where I am the T. grandiflorum is becoming easier to buy, but we have to mail order if we want something special. The white looks like a T.grandiflorum, but is the red one an erectum, do you know?

Beautiful! I would love some Trillium's from the bush but it is illegal to dig them up here. The forest at work is full of them blooming right now and it is quite a sight to see.
