Well they were definatly well worth waiting for Netty. For some reason mine haven't come up this year and I really don't know why. :-? Yours are a lovely colour.
I planted three Foxgloves a few years ago, they sat and sat all summer then died that fall. I have promised myself to try them again next year, just hope they grow as beautiful as yours.
Those are so very pretty Netty.I have always wanted to plant those.I think next year I will try.I don't see them here in Texas much .I wonder if its because of the heat?It also has digitalis in it and I was warned to be careful if I grew it and handle it with gloves since I have a heart problem and it will get in to the blood stream.I do love the wonderful colors and bell shapes.
They are beautiful. The color...so... I don't even know. The spots too. Wow. Looks like faeries would want to make dresses of them.
Yep, they are biennial. Mine never got any larger than when I planted them and their death was not the natural going into hibernation, they never showed up again. I had ordered them from a mail order source I have not used again. I did find some at a garden center today that I might have to go back for this weekend. They looked really healthy and we certainly have lots of growing weather still to come.
