Krystal was wed this weekend. Beautiful destination wedding, 3 day event a couple of hours outside Nashville, at a 15 bedroom 21,000 square foot mansion, in the hills of Ooltewah Tennessee. Swimming, tennis, racquetball, sauna, massage room, jacuzzi, indoor waterfall...you name it they had it! It was a lovely weekend! Our suite.
It was a lovely, sweet wedding. Very different in some regards to a traditional wedding, but many traditional aspects too. The bride and the attendants all wore headdresses instead of flowers or a veil. The brides"Maids" included one brides'Man." The wedding party went barefoot. Fun stuff!!! One proud Dad right here!
It was supposed to be an outside wedding...there is a sunning garden, flowers and a huge, beautiful weeping willow that is a perfect backdrop and decoration for the ceremony. A couple weeks before, I suggested to Krystal that she formulate a contingency plan just in case it rained. The mansion was more than big enough to accommodate an inside wedding, but there would be no decorations, no artistic touches, if she didn't plan for them. She agreed so we shopped for a few things just in case. As it turned out it started pouring down a couple of hours before the wedding!! She panicked but I told her no worries, we planned for this right? I spoke with the photographer about the lighting in various rooms, and she agreed with my suggestion so I hustled and threw together the decorations for making the Florida room wedding-ready. Everything came together beautifully!!
thats the problem with planning something so far ahead. contingency plans need to be made too. good you were there to think of it. you did a great job. looks like everyone had a nice time. the place is beautiful. glad I don't have to clean it.
It’s still in Tennessee, a suburb of Chattanooga, about a 2.5 hr drive from Nashville https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ooltewah,_Tennessee
