Oh dear, is it that time of year already. I have my birthday, my mother's and several other people's to get through first. Then comes Halloween, then Thanksgiving, THEN we can think about holidays.
We have a New Year celebration coming up around here this weekend.

I never thought of a list of seeds or plants for Santa. I guess I should try that. Wannabe

Oh yes, that is my kind of Christmas present.

    I want:
    Mt. Fuji morning glory seeds
    Bronze ornamental sweet potato vine
    Black ornamental sweet potato vine
    A pink honeysuckle
    Daylilies, daylilies, and more daylilies
And some good bedding mix for a new flower bed to plant it all in.

I have friends in Southwell, Notts, England. When I visit them, I just about live in the conservatory. If Santa can just get me to England for Christmas I can enjoy their conservatory and I will be happy.

I love this idea - Now I want to make a list of bulbs and other goodies for Christmas. I have to agree with Eileen though, what I really want is a conservatory where I can grow something tropical!

Someday it would be so cool to try a papaya or persimmon indoors... ooo, yum.

Maybe I could have a chilled conservatory so I could grow what you can in Oregon, like the thread leaf maples at your botanic gardens in Portland.

I guess it doesn't work to stuff everything into the fridge now and then. ;-) The grass is always greener....

I *do* keep a tiny fridge that I stuff tulip bulbs in. Since I always kept it on a counter top in the laundry room, it survived the trees on top and the 4' of water underneath that Katrina provided. It is now in the garage stuffed with tulip bulbs. I can plant them in late December and keep my fingers crossed.

I just found this thread and thought of a few things that I would like Santa to bring! :-D Oh no, I've found the smilies
A small greenhouse so that I wouldn't have seedlings in every corner of my house in the spring. I would like a Brugmanisa, elephant ears, roses and some trees to fill this empty yard.
Oh ya, and an early spring if it's not too much to ask.

The brugmansia and elephant ears might be just a bit tropical for Ontario.......Good luck.

I know, but I really LIKE them! And they would be happy inside all winter... wouldn't they? Especially in the new greenhouse that Santa's bringing?
