Great haul!! Free always works. Do you heat your greenhouse in the winter? Are you going to keep them inside for the winter? Today you will experience a sweltering 52°F. We are having snish right now and the wind chill has dipped into the 20's. The lawn is littered with thousands of dead body parts. Mostly Oak and Maple parts. Jerry
All those wonderful plants and seed pods for nothing, nil, zilch, zero? Oh boy you did sooo well (she says through gritted teeth and she tries to hide her jealousy!!)
Donna, keep this up and I'm going to ask Frank to give us a "Green-eyed Jealousy" patch! Those plants and seeds could not have gone to a better home (except one small farm in central Texas, perhaps!). I'm happy for you, as happy as Eileen is . . . .
Meet Capt. Phil. This man gave me the angel trumpets. He's a very intelligent man and very funny. If I had met him before ever talking to him I would not have believed it and probably turned and ran the other way. He told me on the phone that he had 2 plants. I called him when we got to Fla. to get directions and he told me he had 4 plants and wanted 25 cents per plant. Then he changed his mind and said bring wine. So I took him 2 bottles of wine and a big bag of potting soil. He was thrilled and so was I. Capt. Phil. A real down home boy. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden )
Thanks all. Jerry, I do not heat the green house until end of Feb. My sunroom becomes my GH until then. We had our first frost last night. It was 32* when I got up.
