My Heirloom tomatoes are doing well

    My heirlooms are doing quite well. I am going to start making sauce with the San Marzano's. I have lots of extras that I give to friends and family.

    rick162iq, I would have to agree about your tomatoes are doing fine. VERY FINE.

    Makes me jealous....They are beautiful.

    Those are beauties!!! I have to go to the Farmer's Market for mine..wkly trip. Mine are just beginning to blossom, which i was kind of hoping that i would be munching by now...

    I, too, am envious. I've never had luck with heirlooms, especially San Marzanos. I'd dearly love to grow them for sauce and for drying, but the two years I tried I got very few tomatoes. You must have a secret, Rick. Care to share your tricks with a fellow Texas gardener?
