So I bought this new Chandy online, it arrived, and FedEx person could hardly carry it, very, very heavy, it did say stone finish, but real stone? feels and weighs the same, anyway it was in quite a few pieces, and color was not right brown/bronze, nat. stone, and so I set about, first doing shades in rose quartz stone finish, then spray painting metal rods, then hand painting all the detail on this light, took me about 3 days, but here is the result, a one of a kind now and perfect for my space:

That does look like a lot of work, but the result fits in perfectly with your dining room.

Did not weigh the light, but got to be close to 100lbs.or close? took 2 of us to hang, and that was without the heavy stone bowl in the center, which is two pieces, and also did not have the metal shades on. I painted alot of statues in my home also.
Painted this statue, in dining room..

    Also this one:[IMG]
And I do it all with, satin finish, spray paint, which I spray into the caps, then use artist brushes for painting, and yes, I mix the paints also to achieve color needed, here's two more, I have many more some wall plaques also, so you see I've gotten pretty good at it..

I have painted many outside concrete statues as well, outside I put a clear coat on top of paint, last longer in our Fl. sun. Thank you for the compliments, appreciate it.
