hey there. been a while. finally it's done!
it's a two-piece thing. designed to either go together (no gap) or with a narrow space between them.
here it is. called "Red Tape".

i have a little problem with it... still had some grout from previous grouting and bought a new bag. same company, same type, same code, color. problem is, i used the old one mixed with some new on on a piece and only the new one on the second.

there is a shight difference in grout color. could be that there was a 4 hour gap. and still hoping the second will keep drying till it gets to the same color.

but if not... what can i do ???

    hmmm...

It's absolutely lovely. You're good at that. :D About the grout, I'd say "Do nothing" and if anybody comments, give them a long explanation of the artistic thought behind it all. :D

I'm with Droopy about the grout - leave it and tell folks it was intentional - artistic licence gives you lots of leeway after all. ;) They look great to me and I certainly would be proud to have them hanging on my wall. :D

    thanks :)
    it's funny!
i keep asking my elder brother to get hooks up on my walls. but now... what do i do. i had one hook for one, now i wanna put these two... but i'd need to remove the first hook and get two new ones. cause the old one is kinda in the middle, can't have another one next to it.
    am i making sense???

    hehehe

i also like it. tried to have something to go in a living room or pretty much anywhere.

i will be waiting with the grout. i hope the dark one will also lighten up.
if not... i will have one more hope. dust will settle.

and yes. u r right. i am an artist. therefore...hard to understand. i can do whatever i want. could have grouted one in pink and the other one in green.

    CALIN :)

    really neat work calinr!

as far as the grout, i do like droopy's idea....but...if there's a big difference, maybe you could stain the lighter grout with something like coffee or such?

also, could you put a wire throught the backs of the two and then hang it on the one hook? just a couple of thoughts! :D

Those are great. They reminded me of the Rube Goldberg machine my oldest grandson created for his science project last fall, very interesting. And the colors are great.

Like Droopy said, give a long explanation of why the grouting is different on each, what your inner artist was feeling at the time that required a slightly different color grout for each one. But never apologize for having made a mistake, that takes away from your artists soul.

Beautiful work Calin. Can you take a picture close up?

You can always say 'it was an experiment' to explain the grout color difference!! :D

    thanks guys!
good to know my ART is liked.
good news. finally the grout dried just fine. was a false alarm. just took longer than the first part. guess i made it too thin and had too much water in it. now... it's just fine.
i will take some pics and show you.

i was a bit worried cause i used small beads for the first time. didn't know if they'd hold the grout and not pop out when wiped with the sponge... and they kinda look ok.
will use them again. bought them from a shop selling all kinds of beads for necklaces and bracelets...etc

well... i hope u still like it )AKA them)...
