My little garden helper woke up this morning with an ear infection. We have just got back from the ER where he was given pain meds and antibiotics. He is resting now that the pain is under control. He was doing so much better yesterday and slept all night without coughing. But things change.

Poor little guy. Now that he has meds he should be up and running in no time.

My youngest had frequent ear infections, seems like every time I turned around she had that tell tale cough and we were sitting in the doctors office.

This this all so new to me. Before he started school the worse he ever had was a runny nose. Now that he is in school or rather the GERM FACTORY he is getting all these bad colds. I used to have frequent ear infections and tonsil problems when I was a kid and I remember how painful the ear aches are. I feel so helpless and sad for him.

Ah yes, the good old germ factory! Isn't that the truth? I don't have kids of my own but I know my nieces & nephews came down with the nastiest stuff when they started school or daycare. Then the little darlings shared their germs with the rest of us
I hope he is up and better soon!

I kept him out of day care and work part time as a bus driver so that i wouldn't have to have a day raise him, and then when it is time to head off to school he will be constantly attacked by germs. I do all I can to give him the best start in life and then this. UGH

I've been through that phase, and it will eventually calm down or just stop. His immune system is working overtime now, but once it's updated life will be much easier. Then you'll get the odd period now and then when he's recharging his system again. We mums feel helpless when the children are ill, it's our job and we're good at it too. :D

Ahhh yes, I remember those days. Now i have the problem with a rottweiler,, he's always fighting an earache. We keep his drops bottle filled just in case.

You know we kind of have that problem up here, because it being an island, and not many people. When the tourist come they bring all kinds of nasty virus, and usually during the summer months, someone around comes down with something.

Sure hope your little guy gets better, and theres no better cure than having mama.

Sorry to hear that gardenmamma. My daughter had a double infection a while back but did not even let on anything was wrong. It took here throwing up to go to the doctor as she was simply playing around like usual. Hope he gets better soon.
