So I do not think I will be wanting for Basil this winter; I'm not huge on using herbs because me and cooking don't mix well, but the basil and Thyme mix together and make my apartment smell rather nice; but omg I started this basil plant early september and it's been flourishing, and mind you there is no direct sunlight. I am one lucky lady!!! it's been doing wonderfully and i couldn't be happier with these results! . And yes I know I need to transplant, and will be doing so quite soon. :3
Sawchert... you don't need to eat it. I don't eat or add many herbs to my cooking. We just don't like them. But the smell? OH, Yes! Your plant looks great. good job.
Oh. That is a beautiful plant. I have no basil at the moment. I had a vole visit my pots in the greenhouse and if he didn't eat the roots he just dig them out and flung them across the room. I think I got'im though. Maybe I will start another and see who I do with it. All my Rosemary plants are doing great. He must have not liked them.
Thank you!! I am very lucky and surprised as I know basil takes at least partial direct sunlight. I can't imagine how well it would do if it was warm and in the sun! Perhaps next year I'll grow one into a bush, who knows
Your basil plant looks really good so it must be happy with the care your giving it. They do smell good, don't they.
That is one healthy basil. I am sure it will taste yummy in salad. Take one of the lower leaf and try it fresh.
