Well, As you all know I have been doing farmers markets for a couple of years. I had a project in mind for all the saved up $$ from doing this. My idea was a re modeled kitchen, I guess Kevin's idea wasn't.....well, Ummm, I guess the proceeds from the next few years will have to be redesignated to my project.

So, if any of you are in the area, please feel free to stop and sit on my new porch.

Oh that looks nice. I don't quite understand, did you just erect this little building or was it in place. Are you going to sell things our of it to make money for your kitchen remodel....?

It's a beautiful building. I would put a summer kitchen in there.

Barb, I have been doing farmers Markets for the past 4 years so I could remodel my kitchen. Kevin ordered this a couple of weeks ago and they came and put it up on Wednesday of this week. It took them 6 hours to do the whole thing. I have been selling extra garden produce at the road for a long time and I have just had a tent for the stand. Kevin has "needed" a place to put the garden tractor and "stuff" for it, but his equipment shop isn't "big enough" for this stuff... only his dumptrucks  So I now have a new garden shed/ roadside stand.

Oh how I'd love to have a big area like that to play with. I doubt if it would take me long to fill it with 'essential stuff' though and then I'd need even more space.
I like the looks of your new garden shed and roadside stand and would stop by and purchase some of your goods if I lived nearer. :-D

    Thanks Eileen!

Capt, The place where we bought this had them all on a lot whee you could see the physical building and there was one a size bigger than this that looked like more of a cabin than a shed. People actually use these for hunting/recreation cabins. It is a very nicely constructed building. They go all over Ohio, PA, W. Va and I am sure other places too, to put these up. It has a tongue and groove floor downstairs and a plywood floor upstairs. I teased my MIL that it was going to be her dowdy house . I wasn't too excited when my DH decided to order this, but it has grown on me. I now can't see the road from the house or the house from the road due to the greenhouses and shed....now that is not such a bad trade off, either...not much traffic noise now.

Wow! That is a great looking building. People will stop to buy your produce and admire your new "kitchen".
I know what you mean--my hoop house became more bee-keeping equipment. "We" decided the bees trumped more veggies!

Carolyn,Your new shed is fantastic. Are these put up by Amish?I often think of having a building like this so someone could live on the place to assist us in our old age.Ha,guess we'd better get cracking on this.
Our first shed was built by Amish & hauled in.It is a 10X16
barn type.Didn't take long to see it is a bad style. It is all sloping roof & hardly any decent wall space.Little tiny window so have to leave double doors open or it is an oven.Latest shed is Amish built but has regular gable roof.
Watched for some inexpensive windows at Restore to put on East & South side. Now great place for protecting plants spring & fall.
Nice you are in location to sell produce. If we lived on main road I would probably try selling few things. Sure could sell tomatoes this year.

That's great looking building! How far is it off the road? How far from your house?

Netty, I plan on putting in hanging basket hooks in between the posts. So, yes, I can "see" them there come spring. :) Thanks!

Doris, Yes this was built by the Amish...Alpine Structures is the name of their business they are located in Winesburg, Oh. in case you are interested in any info. They are excellent quality. The floor doesn't have any "give" when you step onto it.

Cayuga and Cheryl, Thanks. The shed is about 1/2 way between the road and the house...maybe 100' off the road and directly next to the driveway.

now I can clean the basement and the garage and my FIL's shed and condense all the garden stuff into one spot. And all my "company" tables and chairs can be put in the top where I don't have to clean around them all the time. I am thinking all my canning supplies are going to be going upstairs after the canning season is over.

Yes, Jane, You understand completely... ;)

I dunno Carolyn... I might be tempted to leave enough room in the loft area for a bed... might have to hire a guard or attendant to be there 24/7 to tend to all those customers. :-D
