I got a pair of Senegal parrots a few weeks ago. Well, this a.m. I was at table eating breakfast, happened to look up & "Samba" the girl Sennie was hanging upside down on her perch & started rolling her head 'round & 'round, then her whole body round & round....really fast! Kinda like Sheherazade! Either she was really happy to see me or woke up with waayyyyy too much energy! I just cracked up!
Oh I wish you'd had a video camera handy then you could have shared her antics with us all. Samba must have been overjoyed to see you - either that or she thought her display might just get her a share of your breakfast.
