Hi all, I mentioned a while back that I was interested in developing a new community for women. You can read the original thread here explaining why. Well thanks to your feedback and great suggestions my new community, Auntie Bel, is live at http://www.AuntieBel.com/ Toni and Eils have very kindly volunteered to moderate at Auntie Bel's also. The vibe will be very similar to the Stew so expect yet another friendly, fun community The first 100 members will get a special, commemorative "First 100" banner to appear alongside their posts. I'm also running a launch competition where you can win either a special Launch Mug or a $25 (USD) Amazon.com gift certificate! Details here. One thing you will notice is that the forum looks and functions a little differently to GardenStew. Of all of the new features I think two of the most appreciated will be multiple photo upload and auto-saved drafts of posts. I'm hoping that Auntie Bel can act as a complement community to GardenStew and both can strengthen each other over time. In fact they are now sister sites If you would like to leave initial feedback you can use this thread or write in this feedback thread at Auntie Bel's. My member name there is "Uncle Frank" GardenStew.com's birthday: January 25th 2005 AuntieBel.com's birthday: March 3rd 2014 Thanks all! Yours nervously, // uncle frank
GardenStew members and visitors come on over to Auntie Bel, check it out and join up. There are many new topics aimed at giving women a place to chat about things we experience in every day life and make new friends with like interests. Hope to see a lot of familiar faces soon.
I'm looking forward to seeing familiar and new 'faces' over at Auntie Bel's. I think we're all going to thoroughly enjoy being there as much as we do here at The Stew.
I signed up. But will have to CP fixed-not able to send e-mails right now. So can not confirm. Gremlins played with it during night.
Hi Koszta, I have activated your account at Auntie Bel's just now so you should be able to sign in with your chosen member name and password.
Hey Frank - When will you set up a community where the ultra cynical, over the age of 30+, foul-mouthed, hopelessly misanthropic and cantankerous, socially ostracize and marginalized at every turn, as well as perpetually chauvinistic gun toting individual males like myself will call home??? I mean, do please think of the little people too! Because I am now really starting to feel left out... Jokes aside, I think this is a great idea. And although totally unsuited for a person like me - I still know a few ladies out there who will love to join.
S-H, Come'on over Boys can be there too. Be the first....with one exception of course. The girlies would love to have you.....
Yeah sure, why not... And when word will leak out that I've joined an online ladies community - My reputation as a tough guy (on which I've worked on for almost 2 decades), will instantly become mud... Which is why a better idea would be to join while pretending to be a woman online! That way at least I'll get the inside scoop on just about everything, (specially when it comes to how women plot against us poor men)... Talk about getting in touch with your feminine side (by trying to understand what women really want) - But at least I am taller than Mel Gibson...
Just joined Auntie Bel, and am looking forward to reading some great posts--just like here on the Stew!
S-H, We have a gentleman in my women's Yoga class. He does fine there. He is macho and yet does all the elegant and difficult poses we do. Ironicely, his name is FRANK. We love to tease him. We take him out to lunch with the us once in a while. It's all in fun and soo cute.
