I was in the store and my purse was in the cart. I turned my back for mot a min and when I turned back around, it was gone. My money, my credit cards, the envelopes that had the SASE and the one will all the stamps for the seeds....gone. AND my fav lipgloss. So to all those waiting for the SASE and stamps. I have to wait til my replacement cards come in to resend. I feel so bad. Im sorry. I know yall are waiting.
Hope it isn't too much of a hassle getting cards canceled and replaced. Mine was stolen about 20 years ago and before I could get the cards canceled, one gas card had over $100 in charges on it, the Wards card had a new large color TV. A blank check I had in there had been written to Lord and Taylor for almost $200 but we had canceled that check so it was returned. Thankfully I had made a police report and listed everything that was stolen so all I had to do was send copies of the police report to those places to prove it wasn't me.
I hate to hear of things like this. I hope you can get everything sorted and that your accounts haven't had any money taken out of them.
Oh no! I do exactly that and turn my back when I know I shouldn't. I hope you get everything replaced - especially your lipgloss!
What a bummer. Stinks. I leave my stuff in the cart all the time. I'm very bad about that because I "think" it never happens... You've taught me a lesson. Wow... I hope you can get things sorted out and replaced easily. WHAT A PAIN. Sorry it happened.
I had my cell phone, thankfully in my back pocket ( have a habit of carrying it there) so called the banks right away and canceled my cards. They reordered them for me. So it wasnt as bad as it could have been. Just annoying. And I thought it couldnt happen to me...but it did. And whats funny, if anything could be about this, is when the police asked who I saw around me in that asle ...was only one person with me there. A eldery lady had to be in her late to mid 70s. Who would have thunk it??? She ws no where to be found within 5 mins of my purse being taken.
I usually leave my purse in the shopping cart too. I tie the kiddie seatbelt straps thru the handle in case I have to turn my back for a minute. This is a good reminder to me of how quickly it could disappear.
How awful. Its good you were able to cancel things right away. I also usually use them kiddie seatbelts also and lock them together. I left my purse in a cart about 3 yrs back being out with my dad and went back to the cart but it had already been gone. found out some guy try to use my c/c for gas the next day but couldn't since I had already cancelled my card. Hope everything gets replaced soon.
So sorry to hear of that happening to you. I left my purse hanging on a chair one day when I went to lunch and I didn't miss it for hours. Of course when I went down to check if it was there, it wasn't and I looked and checked all over. I did cancell my cards but the person could of had plenty of time to use it because I didn't realize I left it until later...I never to this day leave my purse hanging on the back of the chair...I keep it on my lap.. If it was the old lady...I feel sorry for her for having to resort to stealing your money. Times are hard right now and people are getting desperate...quite a few robberies and the unemployment rate is getting bigger.
