He's a cutie! I was thinking about adding a hummingbird feeder. My friend suggested one part sugar to one part water. Does that sound about right??

A 1:1 ratio is too sweet, four parts water to one part sugar would be a better ratio.
The sweetener should be real sugar, nothing artificial.

I mix mine at 1/4 cup sugar to 1 cup water. In the fall when it is cooler and they are migrating, I mix it just a tad sweeter for more energy.

Cute picture of the boss...they are territorial and if I was that little I would fight for my food too...

I agree 1 part sugar to 4 parts water and yes to making it a little sweeter for their journey..
