I've lived up to my nick for the last few months, but I've still managed to get up in the mornings. Besides my husband and children these are the ones that help me get through the winter: My riding pony Truls: My friend's horse Dorthe: Tigger the stable cat and Dorthe sharing a drink of lukewarm water on a cold winter morning: Our princess Gabriella last summer, grass womb and all. The words are attributed to both Churchill and Reagan, but I think the old Greek philosophers first came up with them: And just when I think I'll go raving mad, well: I'll end with some words from my favourite philosopher: Good night, all. See you tomorrow.
aw-uh. Makes me fell all warm and fuzzy inside. Guess you need that a lot where it gets all that snow.
Animals do your heart good no matter what the weather throws at you don't they? I love the first photographs of Truls and would frame it to hang on my wall. I see Dorthe enjoys having a good roll in the snow you can almost feel the sheer pleasure eminating from the photograph.
Thanks all for liking the furries. Yes, we need all the warm, fuzzy feelings we can get up here. Truls is a very handsome chap and knows it. He also takes advantage of it. He knows who to manipulate, but I'm immune. Someone has to be boss, and it's not him. Dorthe's 20 this year, and loves a good roll. Her mum's not so pleased when she rolls in the mud, but Dorthe doesn't care. Seeing them happy makes me feel good.
I thought I'd show you what Truls looks like when he's working. My minder is riding him on this photo. He doesn't like to work in the rink like this. He'd rather be jumping or out for walks, but I think he looks very nice:
Thanks katfar3, Donna. We love them to bits, what's not to love about them? Both exercise, fun, friendship and a sympathetic ear when we need one.
Great foto's Droopy! That first one of Trulls is a really good one. It would make a nice painting for for the wall. Those philosophical quotes and pics were superb. I shall be looking for you tomorrow.
I want one, I want one. You have a wonderful companion there. I like all the saying also. But I sure do miss not having a horse.
Tooty, I can't imagine a life without my furry friends. I know I won't have them around forever so I try to enjoy them as much as I can while they're with me.
