I am so excited. I had plated them on 2/13 and I can see very tiny green shoots now. This is the first time something germinated when I sowed the seeds!!! I hope I don't kill them now. They are in 2" pots. How long should I wait to transplant them to a bigger one? Also, the snow peas seeds that I had sowed in my garden have sprouted also.I can see green shoots from them too.However we are expected to get heavy rain today. I hope they are fine. I don't have any way to cover them. I am hopeful, since they survived the 5" snow last week. Tina.
Congratulations on your new little sprouts! Why don't you heap straw over the outside ones, just to be on the safe side.
Way to go Tina! You are waayyy ahead of me...I still haven't planted anything! It's hard to get inspired when there is still 3 feet of snow on the ground!
Blast you beat me to it!!! Mine haven't started to sprout yet. You must take some piccies of your little 'babies' for us.
Good for you Tina.My mom always planted her sweet peas in December.We lived in Okla.and I've seem them under snow and live .I guess they are as hardy now as back then.They usually stop making when it gets warm.
