I bought a cabinet because I could not move my mixer around anymore. Just to heavy. It has been one of my better ideas. I just love it. Rich built a side shelf for my antique bread maker. And I put it to good use. While the bread was rising I made pie dough in my mixer and use up all the leftovers to make turkey pot pies. One for dinner and one for the freezer. (We had a late Thanksgiving dinner.) It was so nice to have everything at my finger tips. Donna, that rolling baking cabinet is a brilliant idea, and looks so handy! I won't comment on the bread and turkey pot pies--my mouth is watering too much! You are some great cook/baker .
I love the cabinet, mixer, side shelf, pie and bread but the best thing is our matching GardenStew mugs. I use mine every day. I have a "rollie thingie" in the middle of my kitchen also. It's one of those thick chopping block tables...I open my freezer and roll it over to help sort out frozen things. It saves lots of time so my freezer door isn't open so long. I also roll it into my pantry to gather things to use in the kitchen. When I can I put the jars on this cabinet and roll it into the pantry to put the jars away. It saves me lots of labor and time. I love it..

What a great idea to make a 'baking station'. The antique bread maker, and the fresh bread made me drool! I really could have used one when all my kids were home.
Somehow the computer is getting to smell like fresh baked bread. Or is it my overactive imagination? Hmmmm...we need to put bigger wheels on the cart, hook it up to a jet engine propelled bumblebee cart and have Donna visit Stewbies with loaves of bread. How is Rich with installing jet engines? Did I miss the pie and bread tasting? Everything looks so good and a great idea to keep everything where you can find it. I have to laugh, I was making some soup and I needed my cider vinegar and it took me 10 minutes to find it. Funny how things end up where they were suppose to be but just pushed to the back of the cupboard.
This is a great idea, and can actually be found in many mechanical workshops, (specially in aircraft hangers). Where instead of moving heavy metal tools from one area to another, they simply roll the cabinet(s) over! I don't want any more of your crazy engineering contraptions in my kitchen"... So that was the end of that! But now I'm inspired, so going to design one for myself in AutoCAD 3D right now!!! Another great benefit of such a design is that no spider or lizard (or termites) will have an easy time hiding in the kitchen, as the cabinets will always be moving around, and so insect & reptile nesting will become almost impossible behind such a cabinet!
