What a blast!!! So much fun! After we got to Ron's daughter's house in North Port, this was our mode of transportation to and from The Keys. A beautiful, breathtaking ride! Iconic Duval Street Key West. The architecture is amazing. Chickens roam freely. The color, unique decorating, fun displays were fascinating. I just never got enough!!
We rode through the Everglades. Took an exhilarating air boat ride! Cap'n Bret, Ron, Ron's grandson, me. Don't want toes in the water here!! I asked Cap'n Bret To go fast and do slides and donuts....he did his best to oblige!! ..........well, shoot! As soon as I figure out how to post a video, I'll get back to you!!
Fantastic photos, I'm so jealous! We did an airboat ride when we came to Florida and it was amazing. I assume the strange monster man is made from sea sponge?

Looks like a great vacation Ronni, in a very interesting town. Love the architecture. Last we were in Key West, we kept exploring the alleyways. Some very interesting tiny houses just on alleyways.
OK here we go....Airboat ride in the 'Glades...fast, fun ride, and he even obliged me and did a few donuts!!!
The food there was just unbelievable! There were always deals on drinks too...Mojito Monday, Margaritaville 5 ($5 drinks) $1 beers, Mimosa Mornings And some of the restaurants too were funky and eclectic! Oh! I had my first official Key Lime Pie experience too. OMG it was delicious!! We went to Hogsbreath Saloon .... it's THE place to go if you ride. So many bikes, wow!!! We also visited Ernest Hemingway's home. It was fascinating. All those wonderful things you've read of his? Most were created right here! Or here...Sloppy Joe's Saloon was where he spent a lot of time. They have Papa Hemingway lookalike contests every year, and the walls are just plastered with Hemingway memorabilia!

Yes! I did a double take when I saw him, I can tell you!! I'd apologize for the continued photo dump, but there is just SO MUCH to share!! We fed the pelicans and the tarpon. Those large shadows in the water are some of the fish...the pelicans are the size of a small dog, so the comparison gives you an idea of the size of the tarpon! Did I mention they're ugly? And finally (I think finally anyway lol!!) probably my favorite images from the vacation. We both look completely relaxed, happy and having fun. It was a great time!!
