    He was a good looking Air Force Veteran.I was always a sucker for men in uniforms.I understand why he was your hero.God Bless you.

    I can understand why you call your dad the veteran hero. (This really brings back memories of my grandfather who also lived and served through both world wars)

    The Texans really love their men in uniform. No wonder, I would too if they were all that handsome.

    Daddy was on Guam at the end of WWII. I have the cutest picture of him leaning on a shovel, but I think he did more than that while he was there.:-D
    He was a Teletype Mechanic and that sparked his love for building electronics leading to a 30 year career in computers when they were mainframes the size of a small house.

    He and Mom were married almost 51 years when he died.
