What makes my garden eclectic? The definition of eclectic is deriving ideas, style or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources. Over the years I have definitely grown a diverse range of plants... which is probably the case for most avid gardeners. In all honesty though, I just like the sound of eclecticgarden.

Good answer eclectic and i agree eclecticgarden has a nice ring to it...maybe that's why i asked, because it caught my attention and sparked some curiosity. I have a mess of plants and have also tried many different plants over the years to see which ones the nectar lovers would like the best and which ones were successful host plants for the butterflies. Although i love my garden, i've always thought of it as a natural mess...now i think i will change my view and think of it as naturally eclectic
